Maelstrom Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was founded with a desire to spread the art of jiu jitsu with an emphasis on building a bastion of strength in each student's life. Joining an academy is an important decision that has ramifications on the classic paradigm of seeing life as a pyramid (mind/body/spirit) for each of its members. We strive to create a positive, healthy environment that challenges individuals to better themselves through the study of BJJ, while enjoying the camaraderie of a team atmosphere. The goal of one's journey in the art, whether for self-defense, physical fitness or active competition, is up to the individual student and finding that balance is an important aspect of the process. We look forward to meeting you and helping facilitate the beginning of a life-long journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!
